MSD Blaster SS Ignition Coil Description
The MSD line of Blaster Coils is known for great performance from the street to the track. Following in that performance line, the new MSD Blaster SS Coil is ready to leave its mark. The Blaster SS is an E-core style coil, which is a very efficient design when it comes to producing high voltage and spark energy. The windings are held secure in a Dupont® Rynite® injection molded shell and are then encased in an epoxy compound for protection against vibration and water. The Coil is compact enough to fit in tight areas and is supplied with vibrations mounts.

This coil packs a powerful punch, especially for its compact size. This is the ideal coil for street or occasional track Honda Civics running an MSD ignition.

Blaster SS Ignition Coil Key Features:
  • Much stronger than the weak internal coil in OEM Honda distributors.
  • Ensures that all of the voltage from your ignition system actually reaches the spark plugs.
  • Peak Current: 300mA.
  • Spark Duration: 180uS
  • Maximum Voltage: 48,000 V.
Note: To get this coil to work with your Civic, you will need to buy a MSD distributor or distributor cap that accepts external coils. The easiest and most cost effective way to do this is to purchase one of our MSD distributor cap/rotor kits.
