The Remote Start feature of this product will work with Automatic Transmission vehicles only.

The Directed Electronics Avital Remote Start Car Alarm / Security System is a rock-solid, proven car alarm and security security system that will protect your car from would-be thieves. This particular model is the best version of the Avital system available. In addition, this is the newer/revised version of the system that includes extra functions. It has an array of advanced security features and technology, including a built-in turbo timer, that really puts it above the competition.

This 2-way system comes with a small 5-button transceiver unit with an LCD screen that alerts you when someone hits or tries to break into to your vehicle. Best of all, it now works at up to 1,500 feet away! The remote start unit that comes with this system can be programmed to come on at a certain time and temperature, which is perfect for cold climates. Even in warm climates, the remote start is a great convenience feature, and is sure to impress onlookers.

Directed Electronics security systems are top-of-the-line quality, and will not break or malfunction even after years of use (unlike many other alarm systems). Directed Electronics parts are so good that they are even used in some OEM security systems.

It also offers improved image rejection for certain types of RF interference, resulting in improved reliability.

Immobilizer Notes: You will need the immobilizer bypass unit if you want to use the remote start feature and have a car with a factory immobilizer (such as on many 2001 and newer vehicles). The bypass unit will only disable your immobilizer system for a split second while it starts your engine.
