RC Engineering Fuel Injectors Description

RC Engineering is undeniably the world leader in fuel injection technology. Time and time again, Honda Civic enthusiasts choose RC fuel injectors because they are the best quality and value on the market. RC Engineering has put over 30 years of racing experience into each injector they make, and it definitely shows in the performance capabilities of their injectors. Don't risk running "lean" and damaging your Civic's engine, pick up a set of RC injectors!

Injector Clips: These injectors clips are the "Type C" version so one side plugs directly into the RC injector and the other side you wire into your factory injector harness.

Application Notes: These injectors will not work on 2001-2005 Civics with D17 engines. We recommend buying the Honda RSX Type-S 310cc injectors if you have that engine. Also, if you plan on going larger than 310 cc/min, you may need some sort of aftermarket ECU to properly control the injectors (this depends on your exact setup). All injectors for the K Series engines (like the 06+ Si) include the necessary hardware to ensure proper fitment (but clips still must be purchased separately).

How to Choose Your Injectors

First, decide on the injector type you need. This will either be "Peak & Hold" (low resistance) or "Saturated" (high resistance). If you have a 4th Generation Civic (89-91) then you need to purchase the Peak & Hold type injector. Otherwise, all 92 and newer Civics need the Saturated type.

Next, you need to purchase injector clips if you have a 96 or newer Civic. This is because the RC injectors are OBD1 style injectors, and 96 and newer Civics use OBD2 style clips.

Finally, determine what size injectors you need. This can be somewhat complicated so we have made a worksheet that will automatically calculate what RC injectors are best for you (JavaScript is required).

BSFC Notes: In most cases, a naturally aspirated Honda engine will have a Brake Specific Fuel Consumption (BSFC) of 0.45. This means that the engine will use 0.45 lbs of fuel per hour for each horsepower that it produces. Engines running a lot of boost may be higher, at around 0.55 or more lbs/hr.

Fuel Pressure Notes: Stock fuel pressure for Civics is around 43.5 PSIG. If you are running a different fuel pressure than this, then please put the correct value in the box.
