FAL / Flex-a-lite Oil Cooler Kit Description

This FAL / Flex-a-lite oil cooler kit features generous sized 5" x 20" x 3/4" oil cooler with 1/2" tubes, and all the hose, fittings and clamps to do the job right. It includes Flex-a-lite's proprietary sandwich adapters that fit between your engine and oil filter.

Oil that is too hot can cause reduced engine performance, increased wear, and sometimes can cause your motor oil to stop working efficiently. This FAL oil cooler kit is a very popular modification that will keep your Civic's engine and oil cool, which will maximize power and reliability. It is especially well-suited for Civics with forced induction.

Fitment Notes: This product WILL NOT work with 2006+ non-Si models. Oil coolers are normally mounted in front of the radiator. This will not affect the cooling capacity of the radiator. If your radiator is small (like the 92-00 Civics) then you may have room in the empty space next to the radiator to mount this kit. Just make sure that the cool air will somehow hit it.

Notes on Oil Filter Type: You will need to purchase a slighter larger oil filter because of the sandwhich adapter that comes with this kit requires it. The specs of the oil filter you'll need are:

Outside Diameter: 3.656"
Thread: 20mm x 1.5
Height: 3.094"
Gasket Outside Diameter: 2.797"
Gasket Inside Diameter: 2.422"
Gasket Thickness: .203"

The FRAM part# for this filter type is PH3950 and the Purolator PureONE Part# is PL10193 (we recommend the PureONE filter due to its superior construction and filtration). Any other filter with the same measurements will also work.
