If you are looking for the ultimate in high performance for your R18 Civic, then the Turbo Specialties (TSI) R18 Extreme Turbo Kit is for you. The R18 Extreme Turbo Kit is designed to take your 2006+ Civic DX/LX/EX coupe or sedan to a whole new level of power. This turbo kit provides more than enough power for even the most demanding customers, but is also tuned with the daily driver in mind. The installation is completely bolt on and will work with stock engine internals. In all their kits, TSI uses Garrett turbos, which are world renowned for their reliability and performance.

The R18 Extreme Turbo Kit uses the new AEM F/IC unit for fuel management and was tuned by one of nation's best: Shawn Church from Church Automotive. Using a stock exhaust, the R18 kit now makes about 200 whp @ 6-7 PSI of boost. This translates to about 220 hp at the flywheel, compared to 140 flywheel hp for a stock R18 Civic. This is over a 50% increase from stock! What's more impressive are the torque figures: about 205 lb-ft of torque as early as 3000 RPM. With this much power and torque, you should be able to blow past a Civic Si without a problem. In fact, TSI's street tests showed that the R18 Turbo Civic was only a bit slower than a 2003 BMW M3 with exhaust and performance chip! Key Features:
  • About a 50% gain in horsepower! The new turbo we now include ups the power to about 220 flywheel horsepower (about 200 whp) on your 2006+ Civic DX/LX/EX. See the Dyno Results (keep in mind this Civic does have a larger exhaust than stock).
  • Completely bolt-on installation.
  • Will work with stock engine internals (however, you will probably find the need to replace your clutch sooner than recommended by Honda).
  • Garrett GT25 turbo w/ internal wastegate set to 6-7 PSI.
  • Cast manifold that comes preassembled on Garrett turbo. Cast manifold replaces stock catalytic converter for optimal performance.
  • Features the new AEM Fuel Ignition Controller (F/IC) and 4 high-performance Honda 410 cc/min fuel injectors w/ clips. These Honda injectors are special in that they are designed for turbo vehicles and have very good fuel atomization properties. The AEM F/IC unit comes pre-tuned to work right out of the box, but you may find that some minor tuning adjustments are necessary depending on your local conditions.
  • Down pipe and gasket.
  • Polished charge piping.
  • High-flow intercooler.
  • Stainless steel braided oil line and fittings.
  • Stainless steel braided water lines for turbo cooling.
  • Blow off valve (recirculating).
  • Now works with your factory heat shield (the heat shield in the picture is no longer included).

  • All hardware, pressure lines, hoses, clamps, and couplers.
  • Installation instructions and wiring diagram (for customer who don't purchase the plug and play harness).
  • 5 year warranty on cast parts, 1 year for accessories, and the full Garrett manufacturer's warranty for the turbo.
Eventhough this kit comes pre-tuned, we recommend getting it RE-TUNED FOR YOUR SPECIFIC CIVIC, so please make sure you have access to a good tuner in your area that can work with the F/IC unit if necessary.

Automatic Transmission Civics: Although this kit has been tested to fit on automatic transmission Civics, it is more difficult to get it running correctly. This is mainly because the auto transmission has tighter tolerances and a different tune from the factory than the manual one.

Optional Parts: We HIGHLY recommend getting the plug and play harness because it shaves about 3-4 hours off the installation time and eliminates any chance of wiring errors. If you don't get the plug and play harness, please be CAREFUL WHEN WIRING the AEM F/IC, as it can be damaged by incorrect wiring. We also suggest getting at least some sort of boost gauge so you know if your boost level is on target or not. You may also want to purchase a turbo timer as a convenience feature. If you do not purchase one, then you should let your car idle for about 2 minutes before shutting it off after a normal driving period. Lastly, if you remove your catalytic converter as part of the turbo installation, you may want to purchase an O2 Sensor CEL Eliminator if you get a CEL (Check Engine Light).

GT25R Ball Bearing Turbo Upgrade Notes: Compared to a standard journal bearing turbo, a ball bearing turbo will "spool up" faster and start delivering power at lower RPMs. If you select this upgrade, we will include a Garrett GT25R ball bearing turbo (with built-in oil restrictor) with your turbo kit.

Other Recommendations: As with all turbo kits, we also advise running premium fuel (91 octane or better) and purchasing a set of 1 step colder spark plugs (Denso Iridiums perform the best).
