Edelbrock Performer X Turbo Kit Description
The Edelbrock Performer X is probably THE most complete turbo kit out there for the Civic. Edelbrock has really gone all out on this one; the kit comes with top quality parts and is a complete bolt-on, street legal, safe, high-horsepower solution for your Civic. It includes EVERYTHING you need to install it, and a piggyback control unit means no additional tuning required when used on a stock Civic engine.

The Garrett T28 comes pre-assembled as one unit with a Ni-resist cast exhaust manifold and elbow, inlet oil and water lines for the simplest possible installation. The Garrett ball bearing turbo spools up fast and blows big air, but Edelbrock has wastegated it down to 6-7 psi to work with pump gas and still make over 60% more power than stock. The Edelbrock exhaust manifold and elbow are designed for maximum flow at high velocity for quicker turbo spool-up. This kit provides more performance than most B-series engine swaps and is 50-state street legal.

With pump gas and no tuning, 92-00 non-Si Civics will make about 180 whp (a little over 200 hp at the crank) and 148 lb-ft torque. For the 99-00 Si, the kit will bring you to about 220 whp (about 260 hp at the crank)! That's about a 50-60% increase in horsepower. Getting that amount from NA mods is not nearly as easy or cheap. With the addition of a boost controller, exhaust, and more tuning, this turbo kit can produce even higher numbers. This kit takes all the guesswork out of building an effective and safe turbo solution for your Civic.

MAP Sensor Notes: 96-98 Civics will require the use of a MAP sensor voltage clamp (part # 15022) for proper MAP sensor operation. This is not supplied with the kit but is available for purchase separately if needed (please call or email in).

As with all turbo kits, we recommend running premium fuel (91 octane or better). We also recommend getting 1 step colder spark plugs (Denso Iridiums perform the best).
