TEIN Type FLEX Full Coilovers Description
Sold in sets of 4 coilovers.

TEIN Type FLEX full coilovers are considered by many to be the best all-around coilover kit available today. The FLEX system was designed to provide driving comfort and sports performance with its full-length adjustment system. TEIN has incorporated separate height and preload adjustments, which allows you to have various set-ups to meet different road conditions. The FLEX suspension kit includes pillow-ball upper mounts and is compatible with the EDFC, for maximum performance for the streets.

  • 16 levels of damping force adjustment (compression and rebound together).

  • Pillow-ball upper mounts included for ALL applications (even the 06-11 Civic).

Ride Height Adjustment Notes: Normally, vehicle ride height is adjusted by reducing or increasing the preload on the coil spring. This method leads to inconsistent spring rates that are dependent upon the vehicle ride height. With the TEIN FLEX coilovers, vehicle ride height is independent of spring preload. This method ensures that the spring rate is always consistent, no matter how high or low your car is. In addition, it ensures that the spring is always properly positioned onto the strut and effectively reduces miscellaneous and unnecessary noise.

Pillow-Ball Upper Mount Notes: These are automatically included with this product. The TEIN upper pillow-ball mounts have several advantages over your standard OEM mounts. First, they will tighten up your ride and give you quicker steering response. Second, on Civics with McPherson struts (01 & up), they allow camber adjustment in the front.

Ride Height Adjustment Ranges: All numbers quoted for front and rear lowering ranges are relative to the vehicle factory ride height. "(Positive)" means than the coilover system adjustability allows the vehicle to be raised compared to the factory ride height.
